Definitely! It's kinda nice to carry around in a backpack and then whenever you have to wait for something or someone, you can have a little sesh.

It is very similar to skiing (minus the danger factor). You have a trick in mind. You work hard to accomplish that trick. Endless possibilities only limited by your creativity.

Haha kendama is the dumbest shit ever. What a fucking stupid hobby. Cool video, OP! Let us know when you're dropping a fresh to death ball and paddle edit. Maybe even a yo-yo or speedwalking edit if you're feeling daring. Personally, I'd like to see some devil stick action.

But yeah, at first it looks lame as fuck, but a kid in my hall last year had one and I played with it and eventually got my own. I'm not all that good, but it's fun as hell. As others have said it's great for camping and backpacking.
