So I just noticed that when you up or downvote a comment in a thread, it also up or downvotes the original post. I'm interested to hear the reasoning behind this change, because right now I'm not a fan.

Naw, this is new within the last few days, and I think it was part of the update they did. Today is the first time I've seen the ratings of comments within a thread affect the rating of the thread itself. For instance, hit upvote on the first post within a thread, and the rating next to the OP also goes up by 1.
