Absolute best day of skiing you've ever had?

For me it was probably the snowday we got on my best friends b-day. I think thats all that needs to be said. Much fun was had that day.

40cm pow day in Whistler after a week of constant pow days. I also demoed the best powder skis I've ever used, made for an unbelievable day.

December 27, 2012 at Gore Mountain, NY. Over 1 foot of powder that was untouched for the entire day with some flat light. Knee deep powder for days!

probably one of the days in march 2012 at whist...that was a crazy month...i think it was then that we got like 7 feet in 7 days or so. Or one of the pow days i had in la grave france...i was a bit too young to really appreciate it and ski some of the burlier stuff, but still got in some coulies that were longer than any ive skied to this day.

Went to UC Boulder to take a tour, Blizzard shut down the school for the first time in like 10 years, ended up skiing 55 in of blower pow instead.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS. Solid week of like 2 feet almost every day. It was nuts. Wish I had my pow skis back then.


Probably for me, It was this year. PC only got like 10 or so inches but it was a nutty day. So fucking fun. The wind blew some snow into the trees and it balls deep. Best day on planks hands down for me.

This one day I had at Sugarloaf where the snow was actually light and dry and no wind. I dont remember the date, but i remember it being all time.

skiing whis two years ago. we got 6 feet of snow in 5 days. to be honest it was all a glorious blur and i cant remember which day was the best. it was just super rad in general. another amazing day was last year, i woke up to 51 cm of new snow and 58 cm of snow for the day in total. missed all my lectures and drove to jay peak with some close buddies. sent fun cliffs and had face shots on face shots on face shots. did a bit of hitchhiking from the "backside" of the mountain to the lifts and repeated that all day. so much stoke.

Already mentioned but the week before and after christmas of 2010 in utah was just fucking insane. Dumped a foot a day and it was easily the greatest week of my life.

I was skiing shitty conditions with my best friend and we made the best out of it, skiing over rocks and making jump turns over bushes. good times

also laps on this big mogul field by myself in a foot of pow (on mid college if you ski in sv)

It had been snowing on and off all week, but then, overnight, we were blessed with another 80cm. Living on the mountain and working as instructors, we had direct access to the goods. We skied down to ski school at 08:00, only to find that the main gondola (which brings nearly everybody onto the mountain) was closed due to problems with ice at the base station.
This meant we got an unexpected day off from work, and we had the whole mountain to ourselves until around 14:00 when the first people managed to find other ways up! 80cm of fresh with friends and nobody else to track it out, needless to say that was the best skiing I've ever experienced. To top it off, a friend found 100€ in the snow and we all went across the border to Italy and enjoyed a ridiculous restaurant meal. Later on in the afternoon, I was invited to take a 15 minute car journey through the snow to a luxury sauna & pool

Don't think about what days are better than others cuz then you won't be happy unless you're skiing the "perfect" day. Make everyday just as good as the last and enjoy every second you're skiing. I know it sounds sappy but I was getting burnt out on trying to always find the best day and iv come to the realization every day is just as good as the last.

Last year, 2 feet of champagne pow in the aspen backcountry. Every turn was a face shot and being from the East Coast I nutted myself.

Courmayeur, 19th March 2013. About 80cm fresh dry snow had fallen two days previously but most of the mountain hadn't opened so it had settled just enough for the next day. Endless faceshot laps through the tree and pillow zones with my best friends from 9am to 4pm. All smiles, no stress, no holiday crowds, good food and a lot of drinks back in Chamonix that night. I could happily live that day over and over again.

About this time last year. Sandy dropped 3-4 ft on my homeland of West Virginia.

We all new it was coming and so we packed up my jeep for winter camping and shredding. Drove it to the top of backbone mtn and set up camp, it started snowing at 8pm. The next morning we wake up buried, zippers are three feet under the snow, its Halloween. We fucking slayed for over a week up there before we even got power back in town and had to start working again. I wasn't able to drive the jeep back down to town till November 17th.

Half my crew had already left Jackson to NY, but just a few of us had to drive to Denver a day later, so we had one last day in Jackson. We could only ski for half a day, but the mountain had reported three feet of fresh snow. Got there early to beat the long lines, got first tram, and just lapped Sublette for three hours. Face shot of fresh after every turn. Waist deep. It was dream worthy.

skiing at Revelstoke in grade 11 with my best friend after getting pummeled with snow for two days. being from ontario, it was unlike any skiing i had experienced before, with the best person i could ask to be skiing with (you know who you are)

Hands down when I took a backcountry cat tour in Aspen after an unexpected dumpage, what was forecasted as for inches became 2 feet. Only legit faceshots I've gotten in my life.

Any pow day in Grindelwald is memorable. Dropping pillows while barraging through dead bushes breaking under your speed and faceshots all the way through, gasping for air with a huge smile. Nothing is better than dropping into a nice line with your friends whooping and arf arfing

Bluebird day on a 4 day trip to Killington. It was my first and only time being to a mountain over 900 ft vertical. Rolled into dream maker and was mezmerized. Also got to ride with my dad for three days, who had told of stories of Killington since me and my bro were young. Epic trip, amazing day.

Probably on my last day of the season this year at the end of may. It snowed a good 40cm of super heavy pow at meribel, France. There was barely anyone on the mountains, and I was with an old friend I hadn't skied with for a while. The pow was disgusting and slushy, but the fact that it was so unexpected made it an awesome day of jumping more than turning into knee deep snow wherever we went. I think I skied for almost 10h that day

Closing day at winter park in '09 patroller friend told us to come up and got us tickets. Good fun every minute, for sure not the best snow day but for sure the best day on a mountain.

First time skiing anywhere other than the US. Tignes, Fr, Amazing mountains/views/weather/terrain. Perfect bluebird day with a super fun park setup which we lapped for a bit then spent the rest of the day cruising and watched X pipe at night. Solid bday to say the least.

The day that I skied at moonlight basin last year. That was really fuckin fun. Or it has to be a couple years ago at spirit mountain, mn when the snow gods had an orgy and the product of it was 2 feet+ of snow. That was m first ever "pow day".

After nearly 60 inches of snow fell already that week,we were in for another huge storm. 36 hours of inerlodge later another 28 inches of snow had fell making the 5 day total at 97 inches,that's like 8 feet! but what made the day even more epic was that Hell's pass gate was closed,so the only people on the mountain were employees and guests that said in the lodges. So basically no one! Face shots all day no lines and i didnt have to work lol!!! I'll tell my grand kinds about that day. That whole 07-08 season at Alta was ALL TIME.

First time night-skiing. It was on a weeknight after a weekday when no one was skiing and it snowed all day. I got about 5 hours in hit every possible side-hit on the frontside of Keystone. I even found a nice set of short pillow lines. Night-skiing has sort of a euphoric and heightened-senses kind of feeling to it, everything feels flowier, you feel faster, and every time you launch off of a roller it feels like you are airborne for twice the time.

And the liftie was super cool and let me take 2 runs after they were supposed to close.

i dont know about the best but i had some fun today trying to do one of those t-hall tree rides on a tree that was to narrow and i just fucked up the in run and just went down from there. but very fun and redemption in the future

Jay peak last February. 28 inches overnight and through the day. Dropped into the face chutes first run. As I gasped for air between face shots I came a little. Dodging frees, slashing shit, hopping rocks.





That being said, there is no such thing as a bad day.
