i am 5'7" and 125 i am looking for a ski that is the best all around park ski. i will be skiing 50% rails, boxes, urbans and such, and 50% jumps and just jibbing around the mountain. any recommendations? and yes i searchbarred and found nothing that specifically fit me
any park ski really the true question is if youre looking for stiffer or more playful
stiffer will allow you more stability on bigger hits and better all mtn capabilities, softer is just a lot of fun but might drive you nuts if you start to send it big.
stiffer ski id recommend the ar7 or scratch or anything along those lines
softer id recommend any line ski (not the mastermind if they still make that, that shits pussy)
bindings you can probably cheap out a little if you dont have a history of breaking shit. 125 is pretty light. get px/axial12s or if you must get griffons but ive had multiple terrible experiences with griffons and I only weigh 135
But what is your local mountain? If you are an the east coast a park ski going to be fine for you but if you are out west you might want something a little more beefy in the waist say like a 100 waist.
My masterminds crapped out in 4 days in Jackson hole. I got a new pair for free but I had to wait forever to get a new pair. I now have a replacement of them and I like them so they aren't durable but I wouldn't say they preform terrible.
will i be able to butter the infamous. i am not looking for an incredibly buttery ski just something that has the ability within the bound of my wieght
Yeah, they are one of the softest park skis. You won't find them overly buttery, since you're a light skier.
I don't understand why some kids buy really stiff skis, where they can't even use the flex. A forgiving flex is a must in my opinion when learning new things in the park. Unless you're a very aggressive skier.
