Faction Prodigy or On3p Jeronimos—Help me! (+k)

I was almost sure about the Jeronimos (2013 model) and then here I am again, stuck between those two great skis...

What I'm looking for:

-All mountain = mainly park/small pow but still perform ok in deep pow
-Buttery --> probably one of the determining factor, which one is more buttery out of the two?
-Carve nicely on groomers (not too jittery)



*I know that the Prodigys are lighter, but the Jeronimos will probably last me longer (on3p is famous for durability).

*The prodigy have 178, whereas Jeronimos are 176 (or 181), since I'm 5,8, 178 would be better, but not really gonna make a big difference.

*Jeronimos are 101 underfoot against 98 for Prodigys, I think 101 is better, although no big difference either

Price is very similar on both, graphics are equally cool.

I can't choose!!! Anybody rode one or the other, feedback would help me a lot!

12/13 Jmos are a great ski. More of a medium-stiff flex though. No problems with chatter on groomers. I wouldn't describe them as buttery, but you can still butter with them pretty easily. I have no experience with Prodigys to compare the two.

you gotta decide between buttery and stable, because they are at the opposite ends of the stiffness scale. How buttery do you want vs how fast do you like to go? also really floppy skis dont float too well.

I havent ridden either though so I cant say which is better for you of them

its not actually all down to stiffness/floppyness...an early rise helps being buttery for example. Both jeronimos and prodigy are buttery (well compared to Al dente, they're not, but still quite flexible). Being too buttery won't mean you can't bomb down the mountain, just you won't be able to carve at all.

I own jeronimos and love them.

Like the guy said above me, they aren't really "buttery" but you can't have buttery, no chatter, and good in pow.

Go with the jmos man, great ski, last a long time, perfect all mountain ski.

arrrh Hard choice is hard, in my old ski choosing thread everyone was saying that jmos were the best, i guess not many people have actually skied the Prodigys....Well ill make sure to post feedback whatever ski i get!

oh n +k to you guys, hope it doesn't take of 5000 instead of giving you like 100...

Softness doesn't necessarily mean its a good butter ski I rode 178 Line anthems(super soft) they buttered alright but the flex consistency wasn't there. I upgraded to the fr a stiffer ski than the anthem, due to the bamboo the flex is much more consistent and easier to control this makes butters effortless. The jmo would be a great choice but I haven't ridden the prodigies.

Thanks for the feedback, but i think i'll go with the prodigy now, i really want a more buttery ski to jib around with.
