Cool idea, how expansive would it get?
They already have copious amounts of lean-to's out there, already almost no need to bring a tent.

I just hope they don't put a bunch of 5 star resort style lodges in the middle of good wilderness. I like the hut idea, but I hope they keep it somewhat rugged.

Also as someone else said, their are a ton of leanto's already.

did the survey. Definitely not a fan of huts in the ADK. I don't think it would happen anyway. There is just no need. Everything is accessible in a day or two and most everything has lean-to options.
