4frnt deadbolts 13 or marker griffon

Factors would be weight reliability and I was also wondering how much room there needs to be for breaks? I have 87 mm skis would 88mm brakes work? Thanks and +k

Don't know from experience but I would pick 4frnt.

Also your brakes are fine. Eg. 90mm brakes will fit 90mm waist. They are designed that way. Even if it's a bit tight when putting your skis together you can just bend them out very slightly

used to ride deadbolt 18's and i've had a few pairs of griffons and jesters. Personally i preferred the deadbolts over any of the jesters/griffons just because of the all steel housing and just felt more burly. Not sure whether the 13's have the steel housing or not, but if they do i would say get the deadbolts. If they have plastic housing, i'd say its probably just a toss up as far as the quality goes.

The griffons for 13/14 are much more solid than they have been in the past. They got a whole new makeover, adopting the partially metal toe and heel from the jester. I was groping them at jackson hole sports yesterday and they have improved tenfold. Im and STH/FKS guy, but the 13/14 griffon feels much more solid than the STH2 13 WTR, and although the heel of the fks 140 is 10x better, the toe of the griffon feels 10x better than the plastic rossi toe. Im jumping on the marker bandwagon, the griffon seems to have hit its stride.

IMO, marker has been listening to all the shit being talked about there durability, and they really stepped their game up and improved upon it.

If you're on the lighter side, i.e. <150 lbs and/or aren't an aggressive skier, either would be fine. Personally, I prefer Deadbolts (Tyrolia) to Marker bindings. That said, if you plan on growing or progressing, Id go with something beefier with a wide DIN range.
