Anyone have any experience with ankle issues?

I wouldn't just rest it. I sprained my ankle a week ago, medium ligament damage, nothing too serious. I tried to run on it then ski on it and it was a bad idea. The only reason I even thought sbout skiing is my ankle had finally become less swollen so I could fit my boot on. Your injury is much word too. Just rest it

I broke my ankle in January and still have problems with it. I also made the mistake never going back to the doctor after he put me in a walking boot. I was able to ski after a couple months but it was painful to be in my ski boot. You will most likely be able to ski since a ski boot is like wearing a cast around your ankle but you will have to be very easy on it. Good Luck.

which way did you sprain it? i sprained my ankle a few weeks ago and I was super lucky not to tear anythng serious. If its in a certain part of your foot, you can actuallly take healing liquids out by proactively pulling a few times on your heel, releasing the healing fluids to flow out of your foot and to ski for a little while. THis is only for special sprains tho.

Wait until you're sure that it feels good to run on, then wait longer to ski. And once you're skiing I would suggest don't do any big jumps. Better take a month or two off skiing than be in pain whenever you ski for the rest of your life.

just rest and do appropriate stretches i tanner halld it and broke both ankles last year and was able to finish the season with over 40 days

did a wallflip, landed low, tore my right PTFL and/or my CFL and partially some shit on the other side/inside of the ankle and broke my fibia. had surgery done where they fixed the lower part of my fibia in correct position using a screw. took the screw out after two months.

all this less than a year ago and i'm back skiing, squating 260 lbs (1RM tho) and so on, but just let it heal up for at least 6 month before trying to get back in serious business.

I don't do flips on flat ground yet tho, gonna wait for next summer with that, you know, it's like a rope, pull on it hard with strong force, no problem, pull/tug it with a quick hard pull and it snaps really easy.

I broke my ankle (Talus) and tore the ligaments on the outside of my foot 7 weeks ago. Next week I will be full weight barring.

The hardest part I have found is getting movement back especially after being in a cast for about a month. I also wasn’t able to walk because I broke my femur in my opposite leg too.

 I definitely recommend taking it easy till your orthopedist gives you weight barring clearance. When you are able to start moving your ankle do it as much as possible. My doctor recommended drawing the abc's 10 times a day or more. I also recommend finding a good physical therapist they will stretch your foot out and get you on a good workout regimen to come back quick.

Also you will be rocking “the boot” too I’m guessing, so find a nice little pimp cane and rep it!
