Armada 2014, Best all around park ski?

so i was looking at the 2014 line of park skis, i like the fact that the Alphas and Halos got a little wider, i think it makes them more all around and also more stable skis, also the Al Dente is fascinating with its shape, anyways im looking for new skis next season, i would really like a ski that i could just take anywhere and have fun, i have the AR 7´s and they seem a bit too stiff i could use a softer ski, soft and playful enough for the park, but stable for the big jumps and riding all mountain, maybe wider than AR 7 for the float, so im asking what ski from the 2014 would be the best, and also some advice on where to mount them, thank you :-)

If you want a softer AR7 the Al Dente is definitely what you want. The Al Dente is a great fun ski to shred in the park and all mountain.

If you like the dimensions of the ar7 but want a softer flex the thall is what you are looking for. I wish armada never got rid of the old arv cause that is probably what you are looking for out of armada.

Are you fucking high? calling the al dente a softer ar7 is just ignorant. The al dente is a soft, wide, rockered jib ski and the ar7 is a skinny, fully cambered stiff traditional park ski. Know your shit before you give advice. They will ski completely differently.

does anyone know how the park rocker on halo and alpha works in some pow? i mean if it has more float than traditional camber...

I ride the halos from last year and they are awesome. The rocker helps somewhat in pow and it is noticeable. Although it is a little wider of ski this year so it might handle it even better. Still not to the extent of a pow ski though

I got the halo 2's for this season, they are probably going to ride completely different than the ar7's just based off of shape.

I skied on the older/skinnier halo last season and the rocker definitely helped in the deeper snow. I would assume the newer/wider halo/alpha would hold their own even better in the deep stuff.

i guess you had it mainly for park but how does it work around the mountain, i mean turning, stability at higher speeds maybe some jumps, i know its not designed ass pow or allmtn ski but, i guess since its rockered and has quick turning radius it should be fun all mtn ski or not? i guess alpha should be better since its stiffer...

I've had a couple of pairs of Halos and thought they skied fine all over the mountain, even at centre mount. They actually felt good in pow compared to any other park ski (except maybe Elizabeths) i've skied, even with an 82mm waist. You can feel the rocker and the taper working for you in deeper snow (obviously its no pow ski but I didn't hate skiing pow on them). With a wider waist I could see them being pretty decent in deep snow.
On groomed I felt they were ok but not spectacular. They held up great at speed but being mounted forward of a very short radius wasnt the best skiing experience. I think the slightly longer radius this year will help that.
For what it's worth, I didn't think they were a particularly soft ski either, plenty stiff for me.
