How to make dvd's without encore?

I have adobe cc and I use it to edit video projects I have for a class in school. The teacher wants dvd's of the movie but there's no way to burn themm with tge software adobe has (I believe). How do you make dvd's then?

I have AppGeeker DVD Creator installed on the PC I'm at right now. It has an idiot-proof GUI. Not to imply that you need one.


Give it a shot.

If on mac use IDVD

Or maybe your editing program can export? IDK cause I use fcpx

Encore is a good program for this. You can make a new project, Create a menu (file>New>Menu) then you Make a new timeline (file>New>Timeline) then you drag the desired video into the timeline. Then you go to FlowChart (top right tab on source box) The you drag the dvd icon to your menu and the play button on your menu to your new timeline. Then Go to the build tab and check the project. then if there are no errors press build. Done!

I've used a free application called DVDStyler a few times, and it's pretty solid for a free application. The important thing to remember with DVD authoring is that all DVDs are MPEG2 encoded. No matter what your source format comes from, it has to be converted to an MPEG file before any data can be written to the disc. Many DVD authoring applications will do this conversion for you, but they don't offer much control over the settings (16x9 vs. 4x3, frame rate, bit rate, etc), so I highly recommend exporting your video as an “MPEG2-DVD” format out of Premiere so the DVD authoring software doesn’t need to.

Keep in mind that SD 720x480 with a widescreen pixel aspect ratio is NOT exactly 16x9. It’s a little bit wider than 16x9. So when you convert 1920x1080 footage to widescreen SD, you should crop 13 pixels on top and bottom of your HD image so that the SD image is fully filled. (You can do that in Premiere in Export Settings on the Source tab.) If you don’t do this, the SD export will be very slightly pillarboxed.
