@chief. Sorry you're having a bad experience with your Thurstons! The waterproof tags are purely cosmetic but they obviously shouldn't be popping off that easily. They must have been riveted incorrectly when your particular pair was assembled.
The bigger issue is the waterproofing of your shoes. All Forsake shoes should be 100% waterproof. Our testing standard is that the interior of the shoe must be completely dry after both static and dynamic testing. The static test is 4 hours in 3 inches of water. Dynamic is 15,000 flexes of the toe in standing water. The leathers on the outside of the shoes, particularly the suede, may absorb water but the inside of the shoes should be completely dry.
Shoot me an email at info@forsake.co and we'll make this right.
As for the toe leather scuffing - it is cosmetic and the integrity of the shoe won't be compromised with this kind of wear. With that said it obviously doesn't look great so we'll be using more scuff resistant leathers on the next batch of shoes.
Big thanks to all of you guys who have picked up a pair!
