why is line always posting like 10 and 30 second videos on youtube now? i just get ready for a new edit but then i end up waiting for it to buffer longer then the video actually is :(
I believe it's an exposure strategy... By splitting the content into shortened videos you therefore have more videos and therefore more total views. (youtube $) It also keeps the subscribers interested (although personally I wish the videos were longer).
I think it also runs along the lines of why lineskisyo subscribes to so many randos on youtube.. It's a way to circulate your channel through youtube and earn more subscribers.. :)
they tryna get they name out dere in da youtube yo
They'll be more edits soon(it's not winter yet). Most of those short videos are just leftover footage no one would ever get to see normally so why not share it!
Honestly after line's advertisements before every video that either piss me off or scare the living shit out of me with LJ's scream, I'm not too keen on buying lines stuff in the future. Also not really feeling the graphics on their new skis either, too many bright colors and crazy patterns. Maybe its because I've gotten older or lines marketing strategy has changed, but I used to be a die hard lie fan back in the day, not so much anymore
I get the idea behind them, but I wish they were just slightly longer, like 30 seconds. In 10 seconds it happens so fast that I can barely figure out whats happening and usually have to re-watch the video several times.
I also don't really get the hate for lines ads here, even the LJ scream one is still quieter then half the other adds which are like 200% louder then most of the actual videos.
eKrieg is responsible he was an intern for line over the summer. I vote we burn him at the stake for not only this but also for using not-ratchet-enough songs in many of his edits and petting cats instead of coming skiing with me.
1. thanks for watching
2. thanks to our summer our intern Abe for making a million of them and scheduling them to come out every 3 days. I think they ran out so time to make MORE and torture you all with quick awesome ski clips.
3. they usually say "____ in 10 Seconds" in the title so sorry that's disappointing when the clips in fact are 10 seconds long.
4. they exist because through film sponsorships we have access to a LOT of footage that deserves to see the light of day and not jsut sit on hard drives.
*maybe we have a contest someday where you download all of them and edit into a video that isn't 10 seconds?
