Newschoolers Secular Worldview Paper

Hey Newschoolers, I have to write a paper in my university worldview class on secular worldview and I thought you guys could help me out. A secular worldview is something, some view that is similar to religion yet is not religious. Capitalism, environmentalism, humanism and even sports like soccer can be considered secular worldviews because they have themes, meeting, almost god like figures and symbols. My paper is going to be on the secular view of Newschoolers and skiing, so far I have Tom Wallisch as a god like figure as well as symbols like the Llama head and spork. Any more that you guys could add describing how skiing is religion-like would be awesome, even referring me to previous threads, thanks!
