hey NS i am looking to buy a pair of Fulltilts this year but I don't know which pair to get.. i am thinking between the Tom Wallisch, the B and E, the drop kicks and the first chairs what do you think?
the drop kick dont be a fanboy and get b&e or tom walish boots that are exactly the same but cost more also make sure you get fitted i was going to get a pair of drop kicks went to the shop and found out they were too narrow so i got the high five and they are perfect for me
The wallisch is by far your best bet as it uses the. Ew shell which had the replaceable heel an toe and the new toe box design. Honestly the old shell I very basic. It really looks out of place next to new boots from other brands. I really woul not recommend the old shell if the new one is an option for you. But are they the best boot for you have they been recommended for your foot. I'm guessing not as you are looking at a few differnt fits there. Start by going and getting fitted. I think your option of them will change when you see them next to some other boots.
I love full tilts and patrol on the! I do have to get new boots almost every year tho because I ski them for 170+ days a year and then they normally don't pass inspection for patrol standards but still pass normal inspection. I got last years tom wallish new with the rubberized toe and heel and they did not last more then 15 days before letting go! And when they did let they packed up with snow so I could no longer get into my binding. I would recommend the boots with the classic fit, I've skinned in them and they last 175 days in a row. Good luck!
^ what happened to the boots? Did the toe and heel piece break on them? What did ft do for you afterwards? We sell ft now so I'm interested to see what issues there are as I don't ski them myself.
Just the rubber pulled away from the actual platform on the toe piece. The heel was fine. Because I'm a Patroler I'm clicking in and out of my skis around 50 times a day so that could have had some part in it, but they did only last 10-15 days before this happened. Ft was awesome about it and sent me a brand new set of toe and heel pieces. I ended up going out and buying the level 1 ft after it happened to me again. I did continue to use the other ones just in the park for the rest of the year and they held up decently
the b and e is basically the same thing as the drop kick just more money as it is a pro model and the tom is a completely different boot. i have classics and love them, but i couldnt fit toms because of my narrow foot(Classic and Drop kick and B and E all have the same origional naroow 99mm shell) but do not listen to anything on the internet When it comes to boots GO TO A BOOT FITTER or you will have a shitty time
