Need help with new tele skis

So I've been bit with the telemark bug. I skied about 90% of last season on borrowed tele skis and loved it. I bought some cheap bindings and scored a free pair of boots and threw together my own setup. Now I think it's time that I build my own, starting with the part that contacts the snow: the ski. I've been looking at the surface new life's/passport but I was wondering if anyone has any tele experience with those (doubtful) or if anyone has any better/different ideas. Thanks I'm advance!

I've never teled but my brother does and he used to ski on3p wrenegades and he would crush it everywhere on them, so I would suggest looking at the wrens

NTN bindings + Whatever ski you fancy is a good setup to get into it. Just know you'll need NTN compatible boots too. Which ski you tele on matters as much as which ski you alpine ski on. It's all about intended purpose.

I don't really have the money to spend on a new NTN setup at the moment, so I'll stick with the classic hammerheads for now

Hammerheads are a great option too but keep in mind that after this season (or was it last season?), they're being discontinued so it will be difficult to get replacement cables and stuff.

Might have to buy up a lot of replacement then!
