Just wondering, but does anyone on here listen to hardcore/punk music? It seems like most everyone just listens to rap. By hardcore music, I mean shit like this:

steezboxI'll check those out later for sure. I really want to go to more hardcore shows. Only seen one actual hardcore band live and it was dope (Trash Talk opening for Dillinger Escape Plan). Though I have seen DEP around three or four times. Nuts. Was going to see Comeback kid, but they weren't headlining, and I didn't really care for the main act. NExt time though...

Was also gonna add GAZA to the list, but I'm not sure if they are actually considered hardcore. maybe more grind. Either way, they are loud and heavy as well.


I'm not a huge dillinger fan but I'd love to see them live they look buckwild
also curious, do they sound like shit live? I saw an interview where they said they literally never practice

well I really like post hardcore (D.R.U.G.S., Emery, Emarosa, Circa Survive, Secret & Whisper, Memphis May Fire, Chiodos, Broadway etc)

and Metalcore (The Word Alive, August Burns Red, Motionless in White, TDWP, Issues, Woe is Me, Miss May I, Wolves at the Gate, WCAR etc)

Dance Gavin Dance is ok I guess. not really a fan of just hardcore and I do not like punk.

Don't know if As I Lay Dying falls under the 'hardcore' genre, but they go hard as fuck. When I saw them live it was the most intense show I've ever been to. Still listen to all their old stuff, pretty bummed they broke up. the way he tells the story makes the whole 'murder for hire' thing seem a lot like entrapment. he's probably just an idiot in general anyway, but still... sad to see one of my favorite bands go down like that :(

Man, a dream come true for me would be to go to This Is Hardcore, in Philadelphia. Seems completely insane!
