My friend just said this to me and I honestly don't know how to respond. I have never heard this before and I have found nothing through google or le searchbar. What do you guys think?
I've actually had mine save my face twice. Went face first into a stairset once, and the brim was the first thing to hit. I felt the entire helmet flex, and I'm certain that it saved my from a busted nose or hitting my face on it.
The main issue with brimmed helmets for skiing is when you get going fast the air gets under the brim and it try's to pull the helmet up off your head. Does not affect borders so much as they have there head on more of an angle as they stand sideways but they are not ideal for skiing.
