Has that always been there when you hit to reply to the thread? I personally don't want to share stuff from NS on FB, is there a way to permanently remove that or just continue to uncheck it?

I was about to make a thread about this myself so I'll copy my post in the forum feature suggestion thread.

can you guys lay off with constantly trying to get me to share NS on fb etc. That bar on the bottom is intrusive and doesn't fit with the site and now when I want to rate a video or picture I get a fb popup by default? If I were to share everything I rated on here my friends would surely block me from their newsfeeds and the big ass blue button is plenty.

It's obnoxious, If I really want to share something on Facebook I don't need any help.

Can't you just uncheck the box and never think about it again?

We're trying to make it a simple thing to do for people who wish to share it. Those who don't can close all of these things and never think about them again.

If you can't do that its a bug and it needs to be reported. Please let me know if you can't make that thing (or the bar) go away!

maybe I'm just noticing it more because I tend to log on a variety of devices and computers and I swear I've unchecked it and still get it.

But in the end I feel it's obnoxious either way, I have to click that little tiny box to opt out but If I actually do want to share I can just click the giant ones below.

Ah - maybe we need to make it an account setting as well as a browser cookie. You're right, its set to your browser so it won't maintain across sessions.

You can understand why we're doing it though right? Its unreal how much stuff doesn't get shared out into the world that lots of people's friends would like. We just wanted to make it painless (and a bit of a reminder) to make it happen more.

We want regular members to be able to turn this stuff off if they want though.

No I totally get it, I was just a little overwhelmed by your recent push and annoyed by their invasiveness.

Personally, I don't share many things from NS to facebook because only a minority of my "friends" ski and those that do are on here to begin with.

But when there is something I do want to share, such as a friends edit or photo, I'm perfectly capable of hitting the button myself, I just think it was poorly executed.

Now to not just be a downer here is a suggestion I would like to see:

In the galleries, when viewing pictures, can you make it so when I click a photo it advances to the next? thanks. I feel like I used to be able to do this without going back to the gallery.

For both of these issues I just unchecked the boxes and haven't had a problem since.

Ya no issues anymore since I have done that. It still happens sometimes on mobile though. It really doesn't seem to be as big of a deal anymore since I don't notice it.

When I go to the video section or the photo section, I'm usually going to watch a few edits and look at at least 5 photos. No body likes the person who shares 10k things on facebook regardless of the circumstances. You want to increase exposure. I get it.

I don't want to share anything I do on NS with my FB and keep the two as disconnected as possible. Also, I don't do cookies, make it a account setting. I'd rather not have to click don't share before I rate things.
