I stopped by the local ski shop the other day and was discussing what skis he recommends for this season. He said he has rode em all and really has his eyes set on the al dentes and this years halos. I told him I mainly ride small hill park and just lap on the two rope. He said that if I am planning on beating these up bad trying many new tricks I should go with the halos because of how thick the sidewall is and how durable the ski is. He then said if I am thinking more just to fuck around on the slopes and not wreck em up too bad then to pick the al dentes because of how soft and fun they ride. I am stuck in between the two and want your guys' input.. What do u think
Yeah man. But once i learn the tricks i intend to do, i feel im going to with i had the al dente because they are way more poppy and fun to play around with ya know? its a hard pick thats for sure.
So the al dentes wont hold up to rails and boxes? or just not as good as the halos? im looking to get a year or two out of them and they woukdnt last that long youre saying?
I would recommend the halos since your only skiing a small park, but if you do ski other stuff you should probably get the al dentes because its more of an all mountain ski. It all comes down to personal preferences.
i have never ridden the halo's but i demo'ed the al dente and had so much fun, if i could afford them i would buy them but instead i went with discounted brand new ARV's because they are playful too. both are a playful ski so you jsut need to decide how much rocker you want. hope it helped
