Why did all the cults die?

Honestly I always liked them better than the main forums. I barely went in nsg until 09 when everything died.

I miss them. Are less people using the site these days or did people just stop giving a fuck about cults?

pros of cults

- better organized

- easier debate / discussion

- no trolling or uneducated answers

That's a great claim. The L I have(That probably isn't even L, maybe LSA at best) is so weak you have to eat a 10 strip to get a head change.

There are a handful of cults that are very active.

The biggest problem I see with cults is that they're less accessible than the main forums. Even though it only takes 2 clicks to get into a cult, they seem a lot more hidden than the main forums. Adding personalized menu access could breathe a lot of life back into cults.

fewer people and more selective subject matter means fewer people are going to see stuff that is relevant to them and respond.

it's the same reason all this over active fragmenting of the forums is retarded and the mods don't seem to get it

"oh well that just means more people need to use them" no, accept the fact that most people arent going to check 10 different forums each day, it's just not going to happen. good skiers who could give trick tips arent going to check on the trick tip forum often, but they'd be way more likely to respond to a trick tip thread they bump into in the main forums. people with shit to sell hardly ever check the "want to buy" forum. only a tiny percentage of people from any given region actually check their regional forum. the list goes on. it just doesnt make sense
