I finally bought myself what I consider to be a fkn sweet rod and a really nice reel this year and I've been loving it. SUCH a nice combo and I really enjoy using it. It was a little on the expensive side but what the hell, right? Well I find it always helps to find the most expensive, mind blowing shit out there and justify your purchase as being VASTLY more frugal.
Check this shit out. If you aren't aware of Megabass, they're a Japanese company that takes a katana-like approach to their rods and their prices certainly reflect that.
Do not adjust your screen, yes that rod is $879 haha
Want a baitcaster? No problem, that'll just be another $797
There are even several lines ABOVE these rods where you can fly to Japan and have a rod custom made for you and your exact hand, style and preferred balance. I don't even want to know how much those are.
Now yes I know saltwater setups are even more but I'm just saying... This shit is crazy! Post up pics of your dream setups or just sick components you've come across. I love seeing high end details and attention to minuscule components.
