Wisdom Teeth?

Tomorrow morning I get my wisdom teeth removed. Everyone says it hurts a lot. How bad does it hurt, share your stories of getting your wisdom teeth removed and what not.

It hurts a lot


But then again my wisdom teeth grew in my scrotum so that might have contributed to the pain

It's not bad if you keep up with your meds. Stay ahead of the pain. Also, listen to your doc. You'll thank yourself.


Don't sweat it man unless they're really bad it's no big thang nowadays

They knock you out. From what I remember it didn't hurt. I left still fairly high from the doctors and they give you (me) hydrocodone 5/500mg.

Take 3 pills and a beer for maximum relief.

I just felt a tug and boom.. They were gone. Of course everyone is different but unless yours are impacted or infected you're likely okay.

mine were way in there and they destroyed my gums, and i bled for a solid 6 hours after i woke up from surgery.

Mine bled on and off for 3 days. It sucked. On the other hand I got to eat a lot of pudding

yeah that also happened to me, i just started to constantly drink a blend of bannanas, peanut butter, nutella, chocolate milk, and ice.

They knock you out, it's not so bad, but I've heard that constipation from the pain meds can be godawful.

The worst part about mine was not the pain but recovering from the anesthesia. That shit fucks me up big time and I think I puked 3 times within 24 hours. Now that I think about it, I had excruciating pain opening my jaw to projectile vomit, which might have dulled all the rest of the "pain" I would have felt had I not reacted negatively

doesnt hurt at all...or maybe just for me. but i felt fine. just make sure to walk around everynow and then. also be prepared to be hungry

I went into surgery once with a full bladder when I got my appendix removed and they had to use a catheter to drain it all. Burned to pee for almost a month. Worst experience ever.

I kept up with pain meds and replacing gauze and what not and I had never more than a dull throb for pain. The worst thing about it is you can't eat normal food for a week or two.

I got knocked out for my wisdom teeth. Afterwards I didn't feel and pain but anticipated that I should feel pain and took a vicodin then proceeded to have a spike in blood pressure, almost threw up, and almost blacked out due to the blood pressure spike. I probably was better off without the vicodin and would probably felt no pain if I didn't take the vicodin.

Not for everyone. Dude was pretty much beating my tooth out of my face with some kind of crude caveman chisel. Hit a nerve at one point, that felt awesome. Then said I might have permanent damage. Also when they drill and the blood is splattering on their face mask it's like sweet, glad I'm just chillin here.


Word thing was knowing it was gonna blow but having to go back for round to.


Stock up on pudding applesauce. Boss life eatin cold food that you don't have to chew.

i had all 4 taken out a few months ago. 2 were impacted. The impacted ones were the only that really hurt much but i took lots of vicoden so stayed ahead of the pain which was good. whateer you do dont use a straw or smoke. Dry sockets are what will really fucking hurt so do whatever possible to avoid them

I've heard some horror stories but for me it was fine. Just keep your mouth clean, wash it out alot, and even if you're feeling ok take more meds after recommended time. Don't let the pain catch up.

If anyone cares, got them removed at 8am and its 10pm now and it only feels like when you get something new on your braces. I don't see why some people hype it up so much.

Be careful, don't smoke or suck on straws for like two weeks unless you can get dry sockets and that right there is a bitch and a half. I got all four of mine taken out at once, after I woke up from the conscious sedative I was tripping balls, everything is weird for like 30 minutes, then it fades out and I'd recommend taking the pain meds but don't don't too many. Hydros are loaded with caffeine and there are rumors of constipation, luckily I never experienced it. Just follow the doctors orders and in like three days you'll feel near normal. Good luck man!

Got em pulled. Ate soup that night. Toast for breakfast, sammich for lunch, went skiing that night. So it was chill.

I have ripped out many teeth, for science.
I pumped their lungs with a deadly neurotoxin and none of my subjects report pain afterwards, or anything.

drink lots of water and take fiber pills with your pain meds, will help with the constipation (side effect of the pain meds).
