Woman escorted off House floor after rant

A woman described by lawmakers and aides as a long-time House stenographer has been removed from the chamber during a vote after she began shouting.

The woman was yelling from the rostrum Wednesday just below where the House presiding officer sits. The microphone she was yelling into was off.

Lawmakers said she was yelling about the House being divided and the devil. Texas Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro said she had a crazed look on her face.

As she was led into an elevator by security, she was heard to shout, "This is not one nation under God. It never was."

She also screamed, "Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ."

The outburst occurred while the House was voting on legislation ending the government shutdown and extending the federal debt limit.

People arent doing it right.






it might be hard for some people but if we use common sense, i think we shall find that the highest density cities like tokyo and singapore, have no hunger and homelessnes issues. Humans are not overpopulated, people are doing it wrong.

Yeah just did a bunch of research into this company. All of this is agenda driven. They're an anti-abortion agency founded by a catholic priest under the guise of "over-population is a myth." This organization is more of a sham than Invisible Children

look at a lot of european countries they are on a population decline, some governments are paying people to have more children.

That fact alone doesn't make it not true but you have to take everything with a grain of salt that they have to say


And what about other places like Africa and India whose population is exploding? The videos focus on only the information they find favorable and ignore the information that defeats their cause.

No I just don't trust any "scientific" information whose core goals include "expose the relentless promotion of abortion, abortifacient contraception, and chemical and surgical sterilization in misleadingly labeled 'population stabilization,' 'family planning,' and 'reproductive health' programs."

Also, and I quote, "PRI's stance on overpopulation is a minority position and the arguments for "Overpopulation is a Myth" have been described as deceptive." i.e. selective information and framing

When it comes to something that requires scientific study, insight, and data, in this day and age, a minority position is usually wrong because there isn't the data to support it

Over population...Two words
Henry George. Go ahead look him up (the book progress and poverty is really good) learn what he has to say and then we can have this discussion. I think we are all uneducated to really have a great enough grasp on this topic to actually be able to argue, myself included. We are all a bunch of, I read the newspaper maybe took a course in uni or highschool and now I go with popular opinions(that make apparent sense) , support them to the death and aren`t open to anyone else (go ahead quote me on the gay marriage stuff I said earlier and tell me about how much of a hypocrite I am) even if they might be on to something because tumblr and the media and everyone else agrees on some thing because we are all lemmings and blindly building up ideas without questioning and pondering and trying to understand different angles... Anyways if you want some good reading and answers hit up Henry George, he is such an under rated economist.

It's time to stop posting we already won, there are no sensible, intelligent people that are going to read this thread and think that roddy has made any valid points. He's been brainwashed as a kid, and I just pray. (pun intended) That one day he will look at the science, and information without his religious bias like I did, but as we can all tell that day will not be anytime soon.
