Keep my vx2100 or get something else?

I'm looking to get back into filming again, i was using a vx2100 like 5 years ago, and still think the footage looks freaking amazing. but there are so damn many new HD cameras out there that have great footage as well. I personally dont care for the overly sharp, crystal clear footage most HD cameras have, but ive seen some that i do like as well.
in a lot of ways i feel like I should just be stubborn and keep the vx, or am i just kidding myself?

anyone still using SD 3ccd cameras like the vx's, DVX's etc..?

SD is acceptable.
4:3 i feel isn't

4:3 is the new 2.35:1

Im gonna shoot with my camera at a 90 degree angle and have 9:16 edits, much more appealing for action sports.
