Hey guys, so I am going to enter into a video competition for for jet skiing. Pretty much, I just need to submit a video with some action footage and talk a little about myself and stuff like that. So, I have some gopro footage from racing and a couple good clips of me off the starting line for action footage, but I need to still shoot this bit of me talking about myself (accomplishments, where i'm from, age, experience, etc.). What I came here for is to look for two suggestions.
1. What is a nice little video camera that is affordable and still can shoot some quality footage, especially in a talking setting?
2. What is a nice cheapish editing software that can make some good looking videos, rather than making a crappy WMM video?
I am not completely useless in editing. I pick up on things quite quick, but I want something pretty basic that is cheap and has the potential to create a nice looking final product.
I will probably use this video camera for filming skiing once I invest in one, so please keep that in mind in your suggestions.
