I need advice ... I'm 5'12" and 145 pounds marker squire 11 and i do 75% rails 20% mountain riding 5% jumps. where should i put them (they go up to 11) it pisses me off when i hit a jump and i land switch and my bindings clip off however i hate when i eat shit on a rail and my skis don't clip off. advices? +K for help
so your 6ft and 145lbs? you should be in the 14din binding range at least. It's probably not that your dins arn't high enough its your on a kids/beginner bindings.
Theres a lot that could be affecting that. The fact that marker bindings release unexpectedly (or so I've heard), your BSL (which we need to know to give you accurate advice), forward pressure setting, all that BS. Also, don't just crank your din up whenever you prerelease. get everything checked out. Someday your ACL will thank you. I'm 6'2" 157 and I ski hard at a 9 din.
Like he said, go to a shop tech, and get them adjusted to the correct forward pressure and what not. From there the shop will give you a recommended din, you sign the waiver and you are of. If you feel that the din dint enough, by all means go home and crank it up but the risk of injury is much greater!
yeah however he's right in the sense that those bindings are super shitty the brake broke two times last year but i don't have the $$ to buy other bindings for now so ill get them ajusted like you said and maybe a number over +k again
The brakes break on every single binding. If you come down hard switch...there is a pretty good chance that they are going to break no matter what binding you have.
from what i've saw yes the brake comes off the binding and just floats in the snow and then the guy just drills it back in the binding however tell me if its the same for you but the brake itself breaks so i spent 50$ on brakes last year because i was forced to buy new ones... might be because im too heavy when landing switch on those binding .
