i caved and bought a 3ds.
Now ive always been a fan of the original games and stopped buying after firered and leafgreen. I think the new games is sending pokemon down the drain.
But X and Y blew me away. Within the first 2 and a half hours of playing I had 3 Starter Pokemon - 2 of which were from older generations (charmander and torchic) The Original Pokemon are more prevalent than the new pokemon and the way the pokemon move is what everyone's been waiting for.
The Gameplay in general is way more improved as well. There is actually a point to the game aside from completing your pokedex. The story is much more easy to follow and im generally impressed.
To be honest i think this is a new beginning of the pokemon craze.
All you people on the line of spending the money just to play pokemon - do it.
