Hey friends! I'm excited for the ski season but my minimum wage job at arby's isn't going to allow me to travel outwards to Afton/Wild etc. I hope to get to Hyland as much as I can but even then I will be pushing my budget. Are there any other cheap hills to fit the budget such as Elm Creek? Thanks!

Just buy a pass to elm creek. It is the best place in the cities based on price. You get a ton of fun features for a cheap price. And there are more skiers there every winter.

Elm's rail game is super on point, and you can get day passes to Hyland for $10 with an elm pass I believe

Yeah, they don't allow skiers (because they want to be the only place in the US that allows boarders only) but I'm going to sneak in and they will not stop me. I believe that I saw in a really old thread that you went there once Steve?
I only want to go there because I am in south minneapolis, elm too far away to be cheap, hyland gets a little stale to be honest and it puts the icy in pricy.
But I guess other options would be urban, or build your own park with PVC rails/hdpe boxes and wood.

Preach it. I've yet to go to elm, and will definitely have make a few trips there this winter. I'll finally get to see what I've been missing.

they added two DFDs since then i think. saw a picture of one and it looked so mellow that anyone could kick back and relax while sliding it.
