I desperately need a new pair of park skis. I am 5'10 150lbs. I ski in Michigan, and I really don't like heavy skis at all, my pair I have right now feel like bricks and I want something better than that. I don't care about flex at all, and I have a price range of 450 dollars or less. I have been looking at the Line Future Spins, would those be a good ski for me? I want to know their flex and weight and durability, etc. If you have a ski suggestion please let me know what they are like in terms of flex weight durability and price.
I have also been looking at the Scott Jib skis. What is the weight like on those? I need to make a decision soon I don't have too big of a window to buy.
I can also get the 12/13 Line Chronics really cheap. Which ski out of the Future Spins, Scott Jib, or Chronics be a better ski for me and my preferences?
Honestly, that is a pretty light set up. Unless they are too long for you, not many skis are going feel much lighter than that. In my experience (with park skis) actual ski weight makes next to no difference at all, width, length and symmetry are what matter. So if you want the lightest feeling ski, get the narrowest, closest to symmetrical ski you can and in a length a little on the short side.
At 5'10 and 150 you shouldn't be riding anything under a 171 but could just about get away with that length in a stiffer ski. Future spins might work, they are basically a skinnier chronic so will feel lighter than what you have. Beyond that, Atomic punx, Pre2013 armada halos (lightest ski i've personally ridden), maybe those new superlight Faction Candide skis (the park one).
