It has been 4 months since i shattered the left distal phalanx, distal interphalsngeal joint and middle phalanx in my index, middle and ring fingers. It feels as though life was put on hold, and all i could do was twitch my fingers to try to gain muscle. Improvements were hard to notice, but looking back i have come a long way since surgery.
It feels good to be on a proper exercise program. This traumatic injury really made me realize how important it is to be in shape, and how much better you perform. Other than that, my hand is feeling great and healing a lot faster than expected. The entire experience has been very difficult, but i’m thankful to be moving forward with physical therapy, and optimistic about getting back in 2014/15 after a full recovery.
