There was a party at an apartment complex and the cops broke it up. A massive mob moved moved up Indian street and they got to another house party where i was at. From where i was on a porch, it looked like a prius rolled up and started blasting tunes. The crowd on both sides rushed to the middle. Kids dancing, blocking cars, busses, crazy shit. About 15 min late the cops show up and just drive through for another 15 trying to keep the kids off the streets and on the sidewalks. Then a bottle got thrown, and everyone rushed the street again and started pelting cop cars with bottles and plates. this went on for another 30 min or so, and the cops were fucking scared, which they should have been, as at that point it was raining glass. Eventually an armored truck rolls up with cops in riot gear. They throw tear gas, flash bangs, and start shooting with rubber slugs. Fucking epic.

A bunch of my friends were at that and all just sent me videos. I guess that's a good weekend to visit bham haha. Come back soon? Would have been there if I didn't live across the world. That was a friend of mines bday haha

There arent frats at western. I was taking a nap but my buddies who were around the area said it was just a ton of dumb ass drunk freshman going nuts. I'm not from around here so I dont know if it seems like this every year, but to generalize the freshman this year, they seem like a bunch of dumbass yolo-swag kids trying to be as cool as possible. The girl twerkin on the cop car and that guy walking out into the glass showered no-mans land doing dumb ass dance moves is what im talking about

SHIT WAS DOPE! The party beforehand took up an entire apartment complex and had 400-500 people. The riot was hella crazy and people were fuckin shit up. My roommate got shot by the rubber bullets and homies got MIPs

The party before hand was dope. It was already one of those legendary massive bangers, and then it turned into a legit fucking riot.

Was it stupid and irresponsible? yes.

Did people get hurt? probably.

Was it the best fucking party ive ever been to? without a doubt.

Hooked up with 3 girls i'll never see again, and met so many people. And i don't even live here. yet.

No its more like i'm glad i experienced it, but if it never happened again id be fine. And i wasn't really part of it, i just watched from a house on the side. And also it really doesn't matter if you want me to move here or not, i enjoyed my time here, including this crazy event, so im going to. But really my ideal friday night is smoking some weed and chilling with a few people, not having crazy house bangers.

I'm a transplant who's only been here for a year but Bellingham is really not like that at all. If that is what you want don't come to western because the party scene isnt really accurately represented by this whatsoever. Unless you become friends with people who own houses, as a freshman dude you will get kicked out 50% of the time, probably more often because alot of the parties have mainly dudes. If the party is near campus and big enough that they will let anyone in you can be pretty sure the cops will bust it soon. I dont party that often so this info could be biased, but i'm going to go with gandalf and say fuck off if you want to come up here and do shit like this all the time, its not going to happen and everyone looses
