Park/Powder skis

Hello, I am really stumped on which skis I should get. I normally ski powder and groomers, but because of a recent intro into park, I cannot get enough of it! Right now, I have atomic smokes all mountain skis, but I have found these fall short in the park environment. As a advanced level skier, groomed runs present me with no challenge anymore, making me stray further into powder/ backcountry.
So, I need a ski that is really good in park and powder, but they don't have to be really good in groomed runs because I do not race and I do not need them. I was looking at he difference between camber and rocker skis, and full rocker skis have appealed to me because of the ease of use in powder and park. I have never skied a rocker before, so what type do you think I should get? And after the rocker/camber problem is out of the way, some model suggestions would be appreciated.

Park and powder are two completely different aspects of skiing but if I were you I would be looking at a ski in the 95-105 mm range. I've heard good things about the line blends and really good things about the on3p Jeffery though it's a little wide for park. If I was you if take a look at those two skis.

I did a bit more research, and I have chosen three I am interested in. Either the K2 Recoil, the Line Blend and the Armada Alpha X are my choices. Which one should I choose/

P.S. I ski at Whistler/Blackomb

Of those three I would go blend because of the wider width. Really though if you have the money I think the better route would be to buy a strictly pow ski and a strictly park ski

K2 Kung Fujas. I use them for park & pow. While they're not a true pow ski or park ski, they are the ultimate one ski quiver. As long as you mount them near center they can be an awesome park ski and will also float in the pow pretty well.

Those are all really good park choices, but they aren't that good in powder. The Blend is the best of the three in powder though. Look at the Kung Fujas (Shreditor 102)! They are a little wider than the recoil and more stable and float better. And they can definitely still ski the park great.

I can afford these skis but not 2 different skis. The alpha X seems slightly worse on powder, while the K2 recoil is heavy. I am really thinking the Line Blend now. Anybody else skis them? How got are they at park and pow?

After looking at the Kung Fujas, they look pretty good. This is now a battle between the Blends and the Kung Fujas. What do people think?

They are pretty similar skis man, and I don't think you could go wrong with either. I own the Kung Fujas so I'm obviously going to say you should get them. Really, I think both will be great, but I give the Kung Fujas the edge.

The recoil is not that heavy and neither is the Kung Fujas. The Kung Fujas are going to be a little bit heavier than the Blend, but they also are going to be more stable. My friend loves the Blend, but the durability isn't very good he says. Line uses a thin tip to make the ski lighter in the tip, but it makes it less durable too.

How much difference in the durability is there in the two skis other than the thin tips, and whats the difference in the Stability? How noticeable is the stability?

Other than the thin tips, the K2's have rivets so the ski is pretty much guaranteed not to delaminate. Stability is great on both, I feel like the Kung Fujas is just a tad more stable. They are both kick ass skis though, and you will probably love either one.

Then I will probably go to my local shop and see which one I like better.
If anybody has something else to say feel free to post it here. Since I will not go to my shop for a few days, you may still influence my decision. ;)

If you already have powder ski I think you should get 1 pair of skis strictly for park. If you can only have 1 pair then get something in the 100s. Blend/SFB/Jeffrey for example. Im sure it will be easier to progress on park with 100% park skis.

Im thinking of the blend. I can't get 100% park skis and powder so this will be a good choice.

Fujas over Blend. Fujas is better riding switch as the tip and tail difference is 6 mm. The Blend's tip and tail difference is 10mm. So the Fujas will be better skiing switch and alot of park skiing is switch, so...Get the Fujas!

Hello!

After some in thought review, I am probably going with the Chronics.
Why the Chronics? Because I am not a heavy rider (130 lbs) so I don't need the 100mm underfoot, as 92mm would be okay. And the chronic is better at park and that's so steezy.
So in all, the Chronic would be a better all around ski for the lighter people, but if you are over 155 lbs you should go with the Kung Fujas or the Blend.

yeah you ski whistler you should choose the powder aspect of the ski over the park aspect. if you're set on line then get the sir francis bacons
