It is official. Opening Day will be Sunday, October 13, 2013. All the new snow and great snowmaking conditions will make for some very fun skiing and riding. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Fug yes. I'm currently at the airport waiting to fly to SLC, then driving to Boulder to look at CU. The problem is I don't have skis.
Whats a good place to rent equipment, need everything. Was not planning on getting to ski this week. I'm going to be in the Boulder/Denver area and Silverthorne for at least a day.
Personally I wouldn't rent and would just pass on this one, its only gonna be 1 run with a tiny little park which is plenty fun if you have gear and a pass but maybe not worth the cost of a ticket and rental gear.
and I'll be wearing dark brownish/grey Trew pants with a bright silvery grey Flylow jacket, black helmet and skiing on green Moment PB&Js. If its nice out I'll just be wearing my 20year old purple patagonia fleece.
I am 13, maybe my mom can drop me off to drink and then pick me back up in the morning to ski ribbon of death and hike flat boxes all day. She just bought me some sick Jibberish. I will be there rocking it all. Say hi!
They just posted a picture of the park for tomorrow and all it's got it the 2 down rails, a tiny little box on the ground and a flat down box... Kind of disappointing. I feel like they could get a ton more people to come if they built like a decent sized jib park with like 8 or 9 features. I realize this would take up a larger area and they don't have much snow to work with, but they could bring in more money for sure...
i know they were going to place two rails but it looks like they just took two photos of the same rail? maybe they have another rail somewhere? or i am losing my mind.
I just drove by it...looking prime for tomorrow. I also saw a bunch of dudes seshing a couple of rails on top of loveland pass, I wish I brought my skis.
I think you might be losing your mind. haha Nah, it's difficult to tell. However, they are two different rails. Notice the first picture how the stencils are differently placed than the other. Also notice how the first rail dips under more than the second photo of the rail.
Also, on another note, typical Abay with the picnic table to down box...lol. I mean you could have fun on it but, I've seen that thing for two seasons or something like that. lol
