i've been wondering this myself, how does raising (or lowering) the boot like an inch affect your center of gravity to the point that i matters.

tht only thing they do is give you more power on turns, and the only problem is if you land a little crooked, you are a little more likely to go in a direction you dont want to. the screws will be too long if you take off the plate, adn the binding may not be flush with the ski, making ripping the binding out a lot more likelly
