Old ones, new ones, just make em underrated, relatively cheap, and quality. Which boot do you think is the most under appreciated? Personally, I'm loving the new line of softer flex Nordica boots, though definitely on the expensive side, the boots from 2-3 years ago when the first good Nordicas with soft flex were emerging are becoming more affordable.
well if you can afford the Nordica line, Im getting the Ace 2 star and they are SWEETT and i also tried the Black Rossi 120 flex boots and they are prime just a little soft for me
The boot that fits. If you find one that fits perfect and it's $500 it's worth the wait to get the extra money together. A good fitting comfortable boot will last you season after season. A cheap boot that doesn't fit will last you half a season.
o forgot to say that the rossis are also a race fit but freestyle traits. if it werent so soft i would no doubt be on them. I might actually change my mind before the season starts the more i think abgout it.
pink rossi boots didnt sell well but are still very solid boots. at the time i got to demo them last year for a week but the fit wasnt right. they adjusted it this year so i might get it but im unclear. do you want more information on the nordica boots or are you unsure of if you want them or not
Agreed, but my feet are likely to grow another size or two before they call it quits, and I don't want to invest $500 in a ski boot that I will only use for 2 or so seasons
Also, as for parkplaygrounds, Nordica boots look solid and a pretty quality boot for the $. I don't have my heart set o anything in particular, just taking a look at what's out there.
they are amazing boots but they have a very unique fit. like the roof of the toebox is very raised and the heelpocket doesnt fit well without an insert (which is a good thing) and they feel very light with great shock absorbtion but if you are light they might be hard to flex because of the almost straight angle of tilt. I dont know about older models but they are adjustable with this years though
to put it plainly, you would be straight stupid if you got those boots. How light exactly are you? it would be much easier to help out with that information
Go into a boot fitter and have them give you a couple options in your price range. To me, it's better that the boots fit then they're light or flexy for park etc.
I weigh 130, why do you think that would be a bad idea? Too soft of a flex? Session seems to think that they are solid, but why do you think that they wouldn't be good.
And cannaguts666, yes, I am planning to try out a variety of brands at a ski shop with a solid boot fitter, but I want to get starting info from people as to what they have had success with.
im the same weight but i love me some stiff boots and i ski super agressively. if you get the chance to try the dub sixes i would say go for it. if not, then definitely go with the rossis if they fit.
