Replying to Boot trouble

Just used my new boots for the first time on the slopes this past weekend. I was just miserable, it was hurting my foot so bad that I couldn't ski for a while. And had to unbuckle bottom buckle on the shin area to even be able to ski. I have wide ass feet and the local shop told me the Salomon Performa 8.0 was pretty much the widest boots they had. I really don't think I could ski in these boots at all. I was wondering if I could return them for some other boots or perhaps even a bigger size. I don't know what to do, except that I can't ski in these stupid azz boots.
