Replying to Preseason predictions

I don't know much as far as early season skiing goes (October-November), I know wild went crazy and opened on the 7th of October, but who has a relatively consistent preseason with a fun setup? I heard about the rail jam last weekend on oct 6, but that was gnarly as hell, if you don't grease the rail you die. I'm really wondering who usually opens with a park first and about what time? Obviously it all depends on the weather. I'd like to get a rough estimate. Thanks
