Need a playful park ski for cheap

I'm in need of some killer park skis for the upcoming season. Soft and buttery is A must, but also I want that ability to stay stable while carving up to a jump. I dig the al dentes but 600 bucks is steep. I'd like it under 450, at the most 500. Is there a way I can cop some al dentes for that? Or would another ski be the way to go

Look for the atomic infamous. Does everything your looking for and is nice and cheap. In my opinion it's one of the best park skis for this season and at a great price.

I have the K2 Press which comes in at 299 I think without bindings. Super duper buttery but unstable at high speed (no camber, all rocker). I got mine on an end of season sale for 175 which was a super sick deal.

Well, I own them and I do like them, very light and such but these are not soft skis.

Yeah I looked at the thread, than at the ski they linked, and on their own meter the ski is listed as an 8/10 for stiffness. To be fair the lowest ski they make on that chart is a 6. I am actually fairly interested in this topic as well. Most skis you find are really stiff, and being someone who no longer hits the big jumps due to a knee injury, my primary thing I am looking for in a park ski is playfulness/butter...ness(is that a word?). Every ski company seems hell bent on making almost every ski they make have some 'All-Mountain' aspect to it. I have no interest in that, I want a 100% park ski, buttery as hell great on rails but unstable at speed. I am ok with that. If I want to go hard charging down the mountain I will take a different pair of skis.

joysticks, Nordica badminds(I know cap construction but still), Head makes some super soft tip and tail with stable underfoot, if you want wider skis look at Rossi storm, and just go on Evo outlet and find a sick ski for cheap

no cap construction isnt bad but its not going to give u as good of an edge as a ski with a full sidewall. THey are however much more durable and will be softer ski. make sure you see them in person and get to hand flex them because a soft for one person can be different to another

The 6th sense super pipe is NOT a soft ski. Get al dentes.

exactly right! definitely head to a shop to check them out in person, if you are in upstate NY area, head to Alpin Haus in Clifton Park, we carry those, the OMW, and the Soul Rider.

currently $500 on the website, but look around and you should be able to find a discount on them. I got mine for ~$200 shipped in the spring, they are sooo much fun. very light and buttery, and have considerable pop. only gripe is the topsheet durability (by that I mean its worse than other sidewall-construction skis) but thats just cosmetic.

i wouldve recommended the bluehouse antics if they were still in production. i love mine and they were 250 brand new off their website. wish they still made them i wouldve bought them again.

i can tell you that they arent gona be very stiff. i personally talked with one of the co founders and he said that 175s are too stiff for an "adolescent".. he was dead wrong. those things are noodles but are super stable. idk if you like rocker but the rockered mcflys lloook pretty dope
