cant make my mind upp! so difficult, i ride like more jibs than jumps but i like a stiffer ski aswell, ive seen the alpha in person and i want ot see the other to, i just really dont know what to do, help!
If you like stiff, then i would immediately cross to the al dente, that thing really is a noodle. But the difference between the alpha x and the halo 2 is the stiffness and the base. The halo pass is more durable, while the alpha base is just a competition base. Both would be pretty good on rails, but beware that they are much wider this year!
I have only ridden the new halo but was not really impressed by it. It was a pretty boring ski. Soft but not much pop. Did not carve that well and generally just felt pretty lifeless. If you wanted all mnt I would say go arv ti or tst if you like skiing faster. Look at al dente if you want an all mnt jib ski. Still really stable at speed but super playfull. If your looking for park go ar7 which are not to stiff or thall if you want even more buttery.
Should add I have only ridden the halo not the alpha. I have also ridden the other skis I mentioned. The alpha is the one from there line I have not tried.
this is really bugging me i dont know what to do! the alphas got really good reviews and so has the aldente, the halo has only gotten not very good reviews.. im thinking more alpha or aldente
Well the al dente is pretty soft in the nose and so long as you don't go too long it could be an ok jib ski. If the alpha does just ride like a stiffer halo it could b be ok. More stiffness could help give the ski more pop. Personally I would still prefer the ar7 as it has the most pop and carves the best but if you don't jump much and mainly just butter around the all dente could work.
Well I would wait and demo. You seem quite set on the alpha but if I was you try it before you drop cash on them. I was looking forward to the halo but it really was pretty disappointing. The al dente is fun and I'm getting them as a jib ski I can also use all mtn. But yeah wait until the season is here then test some skis out and get something you really like. Good luck be with skis
