I don't understand Sonic the Hedgehog at all. Hedgehogs really aren't that fast, nor are they blue, or bipedal, or even wear shoes and wristbands for that matter.

That's where the game loses credibility for me. I guess the rings were easier to animate than coins or some shit, but ask any biologist, they'll tell you that hedgehogs do in fact collect coins. Primarily quarters.
