I am a skier and like any skier I naturally dislike snowboarders. But i am doing a school project for an engineering class and my partner is a snow boarder. We are trying to solve the problem of "Duck Walking"? or whatever is called when your on the flats and have to waddle like retarded ducks. But our teacher is making us justify that this is actually a problem. So apparently there are actually allot of borders on this site so if you read this pleas drop a comment about how it actually is a problem.
The problem isn't duck walking. Duck walking is one solution to a problem. The problem has to do with gravity, momentum, inertia, all that mumbo jumbo that your teach probably wants you to talk about.
side bar, whats your beef with snowboarding? They aren't all bad.
I agree with Saga. It has to do with the ability to maintain speed in the flats. Skiers face the same problem but have more ways to fix it as they start to slow down.
No I have some friends that board, its just different at small places in wisco. And ths is acualy a realy helpful reply for an engineering point of veiw. thanks
