Should I try hookah?

A few of my friends and I just turned 18 and we are considering trying out the hookah bar downtown. I have no idea what it is or what its like, so I want to know is it worth it? Or does the stuff suck and it would just be a waste of my money?

It's a crapshoot at hookah bars. Unless you've heard awesome things about it, i would just make friends with someone that has a hookah. Or risk the 20-30 bucks for a small one and a few grams of shisha.

I went to a hookah bar near my Uni, I didnt feel like smoking so I got in free and just chilled. It was a good atmosphere, probably helped by the fact I was tilted

best shisha is probably fantasia ace of spades its like a chocolate mint, or fantasia magic dragon. And dont use quick start coals or your tummy will hurt.
also, if you can, use an ice catch because it makes the smoke thicker and less harsh.

Just rip it if someone is moving the coal that will really ruin your first time, also try starbuzz Code 69 and starbuzz pirates cave, both super chill flavors that are good to smoke and taste good. Make sure you smoke on something that isnt valuable or inside otherwise you will get ash all over the place. But good luck, let er rip tater chip

I normally drink beforehand, then just go to the lounge and hang out with friends. I get all the benefits of a hookah lounge without the cost

Waste of money and time. Hookah tastes like shit no matter which flavor you get and to get a decent rip its like sucking on a McDonalds milkshake for 2 hours.

Get ready for crappy music and a bunch of annoying highschool kids.

Just try it i'm sure you'll enjoy it. These people are definitely giving you good information and tips, but you're going to a hookah bar. They will do everything for you, all you do is pick a flavor and they'll set it up/change the coals. And unless its a super popular and big facility then they most likely won't have any of the flavors people are recommending. probably just a few basic berry flavors, maybe some pineapple or coconut.

I went to a hookah lounge one time and it was chill.
That being said, it was called Chronic Town and they sold bowls of cereal, had pinball machines off the fuckin chain and a floor covered in pillows, and I was heavily under the influence of drugs.

Conclusion: Don't go sober. Find one that isn't filled with a bunch of dirty Arabs or high school kids

Fuck the bar. I have an Iranian friend who has one and knows a lot of shit about it (hence the Iranian part) and it's good times. We just chill and listen to tunes, mix it with reefer etc.

I still get scared every time he has a lighter though.... damn terrorists.

upscale hookah bars or hookah bars in exotic tourist locations

I wouldn't recommend the everyday hookah bars located between like a  liquor store and news-mart

hookah's are a ton of fun at home, people (girls) see it differently (fun) than the bong passing

i just hate the pressure to pack an 8th so everyone can enjoy

smoking hookah is mad fun when your with a bunch of friends and in a chill atmosphere.
starbuzz is my favorite type. very smooth and ice catchers make it even smoother

it depends on the hookah, mine has a huge difference because of the way the tube is built in the ice catch.

Im starting to get jacked to try it, from what I see I will definitly use an ice catch. The lounge is actually mostly a cigar shop so I don't think I'll have a problem with it being really grimy and stuff
