Need ideas for writing a paper about Instagram for school !

Hello everyone,

I have to wright a 15-20 page paper about Instagram, I can pretty much write anything that has a link to Instagram and it is due at the end of the month !

For the moment I have pretty much nothing and I’m having no real idea what to to really write about. I'm still searching for a good ideas of aspect of Instagram to focalize my efforts on.

I already have some little ideas :

Instagram was bought by Facebook, Facebook and Microsoft have a partnership with the Bing search engine. Yet Instagram has yet to have an official app on Windows Phones ! Why is that ?

How is Instagram viable, how do they make any profit without any advertisements ?

For now I’m thinking on doing more research of Instagrams business plan, seems like that would have plenty to write about .

But I would also really like to have some of your thoughts, I’m sure some of you have some interesting facts about it or maybe have some ideas of subjects that could be worth researching more deeply !

I would write about Instagram's business plan--it seems like there'd be plenty to write about there. Then I might go into how their business plan's viability considering they don't have advertisements or obvious profitability, and lastly I would just touch on some of their motives-- like why they haven't made a windows phone app when they're directly related to Microsoft and Facebook.

Also, FYI-- Microsoft does not have a partnership with Bing, Bing is Microsoft.

Well I live in Switzerland so I'll be doing in in French... But I'm in no mean's saying I'm a better writer in French than I am in English ;)

What is really interesting and might be worth elaborating on in your paper is the psychological validation behind Instagram. The justification of self worth that people feel simply from likes on their photos is interesting, and has become addictive, and maybe you could relate it to Vine swell. Good luck.
