Its that time of the year again. Its currently snowing at Baker. Although it will rain in a week and it will all be gone, lets get stoked. All things Baker here.
The ski area is supposed to have at least a foot on the ground by tomorrow. Im thinking about taking my rails up and doing some jibbing since coverage is low and I kind of like my bases free of core shots. It would be nice to fulfill my need to play in some fresh snow. At least enough to tie me over for another month.
They just had to close the road to artist point today...was planning on heading up later this week to wander around. Not sure that will happen now, but I will definitely be spending some quality time up at Baker this winter.
hahahhahahaha fuck all of you. iv already got 3 days of pow skiing. gargle my balls bitches! have fun skiing rain soaked pow all year. i will be nailing first descents straight to the ocean.
i dont know how much early season touring i'll do. unless its snows a bunch more. coverage still pretty low. im also really enjoying skateboarding still so i think i can hold off till the end of the month
fine ill be more serious. How much snow is there now? I only have room to bring either my touring shit (k2 coombacks)or my super fats with day wreckers.
Well I'm in an outdoor education program and it's very hard to heal while constantly being outside on treks and skiing. The pt iv been seeing here isn't working either. I will only be back till January 12th then I'm on my way back to te northern land.
Baker never changes. One day someone in power will go to baker and say "What the fuck has this place been lost in time?" Then they will proceed to bomb it realizing these people have been holding the society of western washington back for the last 50 years~
It's also one of the only remaining ski "resorts" in the U.S. with good skiing that isn't a complete shit show. Now that I live in Utah, I'm convinced that development is the opposite of progress.
Dog its a PNW thing. Stevens Pass, White Pass, Bachelor, Alpental, Baker, 49, Hood Meadows, Ski Bowl, even kind of Crystal Timberline. None of them have sprawling villages, and Crystal and Timberline only have limited hotels. In the PNW its about ski areas, not ski resorts. If you want that just go to Whistler, Tahoe, or the rest of the west.
