Thread drafting idea

What if you were able to work on threads and save them in a draft section to return to, finish, and post later. This might promote putting more effort into threads and help those who already do. Also you could start making threads based on a thought or idea but may not have all the information or the event hasn't happened yet. Just an idea

Why not just make a word/txt document and then copy paste later when you're ready to post?

Dammit, we don't like easy solutions here on NS. But I think I'll use that idea. Only problem is that you can't really embed on word I don't think.

would be very useful to have a save thread feature, for when you embed tons of vids/pics and then you reload the page accidentally, and end up not making the thread again cos you're so pissed...

Definitely something we'll look at when redoing the forums! In the meantime, txt document is the way to go. I generally use it whenever I'm draft a big post or news article.

When you say "redo the forums", you don't mean you're gonna rearrange everything right? I feel like NS has very strong forum organization compared to some other big forums out there, and they should be left generally unscathed. I feel like some minor tweaks would be nice, but not a full on facelift.

i see you're new around here, but you don't need to manually type in your signature every time. go to "account settings" in that yellow box in the upper left corner
