what the fuck are you guys on about, did any one you even READ the article? this isn't about not hurting peoples feelings or anything like that. its about creating BETTER soccer players for Canada in the long term. man you guys are retarded, this isn't about your singular me against the world mentality, this is research based shit thats going to make these kids better so that years down the road when it MATTERS they can WIN games. why? because they don't have some idiot dad coach barking at them to kick the ball up to the immigrant kid who's bigger, faster and better just so he can one up his buddy on the other team. at that age win or lose isn't important, its about self expression on the pitch, having fun and learning to play the right way. keeping score has nothing to do with that, and has actually proven to be detrimental it.
the attitudes in this thread, no doubt why a country such as USA with over 300m people is so bad at soccer, same can be said of England. countries that have done away with backwards thinking ultra competitive kids play are the ones that excel - Spain, Brazil, Netherlands (kinda)
