Sch. 1 (drug) misdemeanor in Tn...can i cross to canada?

I know theres a lot of canadians, americans, and possibly some that people that may have been busted before on NS. Has anyone ever crossed into canada with a misdemeanor on their record???

MY STORY.. I got busted with a gram of MDMA in Tn when I was headed to bonnaroo and recently have been charged with "sch. 1 misdemeanor" (which thankfully goes away in a year). Anyway I really want to go up to Montreal next month and have gotten ambiguous answer, even from the Customs Help Line. Short of driving to the border im not sure what to do.

schedule 1 is the worst misdemeanor you can get.. id call the canadian border patrol and see what they say.

I did and when I pressed the guy to answer he didn't give me specifics. he said "these a decent chance you will be turned away". Which wasn't especially helpful

I fully accept that there are consequences to my actions, but lack of clarity as to the extent of those consequences is whats getting me right here.

no we cant have homeless junkies like you just strolling into canada as they please. this is a drug free county.
