If youre up for a hike nisqually chutes are always good. And also depending on where and what you will be skiing, bring backcountry gear training and knowledge... Dont go if you dont have these^ pre season slides do happen and can sometimes be worse than what you would find in the middle of winter. We have lost way too many skiers this way, dont need to lose another.
