Hi
I'm looking for a camera that would be good for filming (mostly skiing) and shoots at a High frame rate.
I am looking at a canon 550D but I am still not sure.
thanks for your help.

Ok I'll try again.
This camera would be a birthday/christmas present so my limit would probably be around 550-600 dollars. I Might een have an extra hundred or 2 but thats doubtful.
I do own a camera (a very shitty one that only shoots at 30 fps) and I am kinda experienced in filming but I wanna get a better camera to help me progress more.
The only gear that I currently have is a cam caddie (home made)
I want to film lots of things so I am not limiting my self to skiing.
when I film I like to do both follow cams and stand still shots.
I have a macbook pro. I don't have much storage space but I have alot of memory sticks that I put all of my footage on.
I use final cut pro and I am very familiar with it. about an 8 out of 10.
I want to look into a DSLR but I also have looked into camcorders
I don't know anything about HDSLR's
One of my friends will be filming me often but I will be doing most of the filming.
hope this helped

actually, a 550D (t2i) would be a pretty solid choice, I'm still filming with one (mostly because of budget reasons) but it does the job just fine!
I would suggest though that you invest in some nicer glass than the kit lens/the newschoolers tokina classic if you can, as those two lenses are mostly garbage.
but yeah dude, 550D or 650D(t3i) would be a good inexpensive choice!
