I'm 210 pounds 6 feet tall want either 178 line blends the green and black ones or I can get surface watch life's in size 173 these are for days where I wanna hit pow in morning for a few runs and want park after it's tracked out without switching from my hell bents toy nordica ace of spaces
They both have slow bases, in fact, surface is probably slower across the board because they use extruded in all their sis excluding the LAB series. I would still go with surface though because they are a smaller brand.
^ i agree with u on that. Ull like the watch life especailly since ur a big dude. The extra width under foot should help u out alot and the skis shouldnt break. Double times are like notorious for breaking
I am 6 ft 175 and ride the 179 blends and have had them for 3 seasons now, really like them and use them for the park and just playing around the rest of my home "mountain"
Having spent quite some time on both.
Two pretty different skis.
Blends are soft, fun, more of a play-ski. They wont charge in the same way and require more finesse while skiing in crappy conditions. They still float, and carve really nicely. Amazing ski, but after they changed the flex i wouldn't really call them all mtn skis anymore.
Watchlifes are stiffer and something that can go anywhere. They are poppy and energetic but not playful and buttery like the blends.
Also fuck surfaces durability.
And why go 178? Your 6 feet 210 there isn't a ski length out there that should intimidate you. You could 190s for park and be fine.
id say on3p jeronimos for you, i have blends and they are pretty playful for me and i weigh 140, and i would never trust surface just cause friends skis durability. on3p's are so durable and so fun to ski, i have never ridden jmos but all other on3ps ive been on have been amazing
